Day 1
• Health and safety.
• Health and safety and the manager.
• Health and safety and the legal system in the UK
Day 2
• Working at height regulations 2005.
• The construction (design and management) regulations 2015.
• RIDDOR.
• First aid provisions.
Day 3
• Various legislation.
• Asbestos.
• Waste and environmental management.
• Risk assessments and risk management.
Day 4
• Various legislation.
• Construction hazards.
• Occupational health.
Day 5
• Assessment.
Candidates are continually assessed throughout the course on their involvement and performance. Candidates must complete 4 core exercises, present a presentation and complete a written paper to pass. On completion, candidates will receive a CITB SMSTS certificate that lasts 5 years.

What do I need to bring with me?
On day one of the course, you will be expected to bring a form of photographic ID with you. Suitable forms include a driver’s license and/or passport.
What accreditation will I receive?
You will receive a CITB Virtual Certificate.
Delegates are expected to complete multi-choice and written assessments.
How long does the certificate last?
All CITB SSP Certificates last for 5 years.
Is there any funding for this course?
Those who pay into the ECITB levy, may be able to recover the course fees for City & Guilds courses. Please do check with ECITB before buying this course.

How many people will be on the course?
There will be a maximum of 12 people on this course, and a minimum of 3. This is to make sure you receive the quality of training we pride ourselves on giving.
What time does the course start and finish?
The course starts at 0900 and aims to finish between 1530 to 1600.
Do I need PPE?
No PPE is required.
What is included in the price?
All course materials, and a light lunch* is included in the price.

How long does it take for certification to arrive?
Physical certificates will be sent to the address the booker provided. This can take anywhere between 5 to 10 days.
When will I receive my joining instructions?
Your joining instructions will be sent as soon as booking is confirmed, and payment received.
Can I change my booking?

Is there parking?
Yes, there is limited parking outside the training centre.
