ACTTnow Mental Health Awareness – Online Evening Classes

The objective of this course is to introduce you to common mental health illnesses such as depression, stress and suicide. This includes how to actively listen to others and provide advice on where to signpost to expert support to assist them in difficult times. This course aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems in the workplace and at home.

This course is 4 hours long, and runs over 2 evenings. The timings are currently 6pm until 8pm.

Who Should Attend?
This qualification is for those aged 16 years old and over who have an interest in mental health and would like to raise their awareness and be able to listen and signpost work colleagues and family members to a professional body that can provide support. This would benefit anyone wanting a better understanding on how to help those living with stress, depression and suicidal thoughts.

• Understand Mental Health and it’s importance
• Understand workplace stress
• Understand the need for self-care and mindfullness

• Identify what is meant by the term Mental Health
• Identify signs of stress
• Recognise the effects of depression on those who live with the condition
• Recognise signs of suicide
• Identify the need for self-care to help own mindfulness
