Who Should Attend?
This test is designed for anyone working within the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Engineering, Installation, Maintenance and Renewables sectors and is also useful for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives including contractor personnel.
The CCNSG Test-Only for Renewal route is only for those who already hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport, but whose card is due for renewal.
Delegates must complete 60 online questions which cover the syllabus of the one-day renewal course. The pass mark for the online test is 80%; delegates who do not achieve the required pass mark will be permitted one further re-sit.
If the delegate fails to achieve the pass mark on the re-sit, then the one-day renewal course will have to be taken.
Upon successful completion, the candidate will be issued with certification by the ECITB, valid for 3 years.
Test taken under strict exam ECITB led conditions on an individual basis.
*No training or assistance will be given at the test session so delegates must ensure they have the required health and safety knowledge in preparation for the test.
** Delegates can have 3 attempts of the Test Only Renewal, before they sit the 1 day Renewal Course. All must occur before the expiry date of their current card.
FAQ's
What do I need to bring with me?
On the day of your test, you will be expected to bring a form of photographic ID with you. Suitable forms include a driver’s license and/or passport, and you will need to bring 2 passport style photos.
What accreditation will I receive?
Those who successfully pass, will receive a temporary CCNSG Safety Passport. You permanent card can take up to 10 working days to arrive to your home address.
You have 30 minutes to complete 50 multi-choice questions.
How long does the certificate last?
Your Safety Passport will last for 3 years. Delegates will need to sit the renewal or Test Only renewal before the expiry date.
Is there any funding for this course?
Those who pay into the ECITB levy, may be able to recover the course fees. Please do check with ECITB before buying this course.
