Qualsafe First Aid at Work Annual Refresher

HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role. As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake an annual refresher of the First Aid at Work training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures.

Over a half day period, learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures.

Consisting of theory and practical work with 3 practical assessments.

Who Should Attend?
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF) qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required.

Learning Outcomes
The course covers the following areas so the learner will:
• Be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider.
• Manage an unresponsive casualty
• Understand how to perform CPR including Defibrillators

Modules will cover
• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and AED use
• Recovery Position
• Choking

Candidates will undertake 3 practical assessments during the course.
