Who Should Attend?
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQC) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training.
Learning Outcomes
The course covers the following areas so the learner will:
• Be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider.
• Manage an unresponsive casualty
• Understand how to perform CPR including Defibrillators

• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and AED use
• Recovery Position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Minor injuries
• Cuts, grazes and bruises
• Minor burns and scalds
The course will conclude with candidates undertaking a practical assessment and multi-choice examination, the successful completion of which will result in the awarding of a QA Level 3 certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) which is an Ofqual Regulated Qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards, valid for 3 years.

FAQ's
What do I need to bring with me?
On the day of the course, you will be expected to bring a form of photographic ID with you. Suitable forms include a driver’s license and/or passport.
What accreditation will I receive?
Those who successfully pass, will receive a Qualsafe certificate.
All courses, delegates are assessed continually with practical’s, and will need to complete 1 multi-choice assessment.
This training course is based on the Ofqual regulation qualification units – Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 3 Recognition and Management of Injury or Illness in the Workplace. Those who complete this course also comply with the minimum guided learning hours as set in the Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid qualifications.
How long does the certificate last?
Your Qualsafe certificate will last 3 years. You will need to complete the course again before your certification expires.
Is there any funding for this course?
Those who pay into the ECITB levy, may be able to recover the course fees for Qualsafe courses. Please do check with ECITB before buying this course.

How many people will be on the course?
There will be a maximum of 10 people on this course, and a minimum of 3. This is to make sure you receive the quality of training we pride ourselves on giving.
What time does the course start and finish?
The course starts at 0900 and aims to finish between 1530 to 1600.
Do I need PPE?
No PPE is required. But please do wear suitable, comfy clothing. Practical’s do involve moving around.
What is included in the price?
All course materials, and a light lunch* is included in the price.

How long does it take for certification to arrive?
Qualsafe certificates are all digital and will be sent to the email provided by the original booker. This can take up to 5 working days.
When will I receive my joining instructions?
Your joining instructions will be sent as soon as booking is confirmed, and payment received.

Is there parking?
Yes, there is limited parking outside the training centre.
